Roving Edge Infrastructure 2.16.2

The Roving Edge Infrastructure 2.16.2 release provides the following product enhancements:

• Self-Provisioning: A new feature that enables you to provision your own Roving Edge devices on-site. This feature enhances security and flexibility, enabling you to fully manage the provisioning process and to assign devices to different projects. See Self-Provision the Roving Edge Device.

• Sanitization: (Only for Roving Edge devices that are self-provisioned) A new feature that enables you to securely wipe the data on a device before you return the device to Oracle. See Sanitizing a Device.
• Internet proxies: Roving Edge devices now support HTTP proxy configurations. This enables the device to communicate with OCI service endpoints when the device is running behind firewalls. See Managing the Internet Proxy.

• New shapes: The following new shapes are available for instances on RED.2.56 hardware models:

  • USB shapes
  • Multi-GPU shapes
