Task Runs and Schedules

After publishing a task to an application in Data Integration, run the task manually from the application. To automate a task run, create a task schedule in the application.

By default, all tasks that you create and publish to a Data Integration application are configured to run in the OCI Data Integration service using fixed default resources. No other configuration is needed.

For integration tasks, you have the option to run a task in the OCI Data Flow service by updating the task's run configuration to use dynamic allocation and scalable resources. See Using the OCI Data Flow Service to Run a Task.

By default, a workspace has a limit of four concurrent task runs. See Support Information and Considerations When Using Pipelines for more information when running tasks in a pipeline.
