Using the OCI Data Flow Service to Run a Task
By default, all tasks that you create and publish to a Data Integration application are configured to run in the OCI Data Integration service.
For integration tasks, you have the option to run a task in the OCI Data Flow service by updating the task's run configuration. You update the run configuration by specifying Data Flow run properties when you create the task or when you edit the task. The Data Flow service's run configuration properties can be parameterized.
See the following pages for the prerequisite resources and policies that must be created, and the run configuration properties and parameters to use for running a task in the Data Flow service.
- Required Setup and Policies for OCI Data Flow Service to Run Tasks
- Updating the Task Run Configuration for OCI Data Flow Service
- OCI Data Flow Run Configuration Parameters
The steps to run a task that's configured to run in the OCI Data Flow service are the same as any other task in Data Integration:
- Publish the task to an application in Data Integration. See Publishing a Task to a Data Integration Application.
- Run the published task from the Tasks section of the Data Integration application. Running a Task
- View logs from the Runs section of the Data Integration application. See Viewing Logs in a Task Run.
