Logging for Compute Cloud@Customer

Learn how to manage the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Logging service on Compute Cloud@Customer infrastructures.

The OCI Logging service provides a highly scalable and fully managed single interface for all the logs in your tenancy. Logs include diagnostic information that describes how resources are performing and being accessed. For general information about the Logging service, see Logging Overview.

You can use the Logging service with Compute Cloud@Customer to generate service logs. By default, the Logging service is disabled on Compute Cloud@Customer. If you enable logging, service logs are generated for user activity.

The logs are stored off-premises in an Object Storage bucket in your OCI tenancy so that they're accessible in the event of a disaster at your site. You can easily search and view the logs in the Oracle Cloud Console.

Note

Enabling, disabling, and searching logs requires certain policies and permissions. See Logs and Log Groups.
