Connecting a Device

To get started, review these scenarios to connect a device to start sending and receiving telemetry data to the Internet of Things Platform.

After you create an IoT domain group and an IoT domain, choose the scenario that matches the data direction and payload format. The scenario steps create the required digital twin instance and, for structured data, the required model and adapter.

• Send unstructured telemetry over HTTPS or MQTTS
• Send structured telemetry in a default or custom format over HTTPS or MQTTS
• Send commands and receive device responses over MQTTS
