Returning Roving Edge Infrastructure Devices to Oracle
Return your Roving Edge Infrastructure devices to Oracle when you no longer need them, or because of a technical issue that requires sending it back for repair and replacement.
The process for returning a device differs based on the following conditions:
-
The latest devices (self-provisioned on-site): Sanitize the device, receive a return shipping label, then send the device to Oracle. See Sanitizing a Device.
-
Older devices (provisioned at an Oracle facility): Manually delete the data, then contact Oracle Support to arrange for the return. See Returning Older Devices.
-
Non-working devices: Contact My Oracle Support (MOS) if your Roving Edge Infrastructure devices isn't working because of damage or any other type of failure. Support determines if the device is repairable on-site. If on-site repair isn't possible, you will receive a replacement device with instructions on how return or destroy the non-working device. See Contacting Oracle Support. You might incur fees for the non-working device as described in your rate card documentation.
If you aren't sure which process to follow, start with Sanitizing a Device.
