Implementing Recommendations

You can implement a recommendation and apply it to one or more resources at the same time. Select Console, CLI, or API to see the instructions to use that feature to complete this task.

  • To implement all recommendations except a CCD recommendation, complete these steps. To implement a CCD recommendation, see Continuous Consumption Discounts.

    1. Open the navigation menu  and select Governance & Administration. Under Cloud Advisor, select Recommendations.
      The Cloud Advisor Recommendations window opens.
    2. Select the name of the recommendation that you want to implement.
      The recommendation details page opens and displays the list of resources that this recommendation applies to.
    3. Select the check boxes for the resources that you want to implement.
    4. Select Implement selected.
      A page opens with more details about the recommendation and shows the list of resources impacted by the changes.
    5. Follow the fix-it flow to implement the recommendation.

      When you complete the fix-it flow, the work request page opens.

      When the work request is complete, the recommendation status changes from Pending to Implemented.

    6. Close the page.

  • Use the oci optimizer recommendation bulk-apply command to implement recommendations.

    oci optimizer recommendation bulk-apply --recommendation-id <recommendation_ocid> --status <status>
