Logging
Use this information to manage logs for Database Tools resources.
You can enable OCI Logging to collect service logs for Database Tools MCP server operations. For information about available log categories and log contents, see Details for Database Tools.
Enable Logging for MCP Server
- Open the navigation menu and select Developer Services.
- Under Database Tools, select Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
- Select the compartment containing the MCP server, and then select the MCP server that you want to troubleshoot.
- Select the Monitoring tab.
MCP Invocation Logs is a log entry that is already available and by default is not enabled.
- From the Actions menu for MCP Invocation Logs, select Enable log.
- In the Enable log dialog, select an existing log group. If nothing is available, click Create new group to create a log group.
- Click Enable log.
After the operation completes, the status of MCP Invocation Logs changes to Active.
Find an MCP Server Operation
To locate the corresponding log entry:
- In MCP Invocation Logs, click the Log Name link.
- Select the Explore log tab to view the log details.
- Search for the
opc-request-idreturned by the MCP client.
