Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) Cluster Overview
The Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) Cluster Overview dashboard provides an overview of the health and operational status of an Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) cluster over a specified time period.
Platform administrators and DevOps teams can use this dashboard to monitor pod, node, container, service, and persistent-volume-claim status, and to identify node issues and Kubernetes warning events. Use the Scope filter to focus the dashboard on a specific cluster by providing its cluster OCID, and use the time range to refine the analysis. Dashboard results depend on the Kubernetes data collected in Oracle Log Analytics.
Here's the list of widgets displayed in the Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) Cluster Overview dashboard:
| Widget | Description |
|---|---|
| Pod Status | Shows the status distribution of pods in the cluster. Use it to quickly identify pods by lifecycle state and investigate unexpected states such as pending, failed, or unknown pods. |
| Nodes Status | Shows the current status of cluster nodes. Use it to identify nodes that are unavailable, unhealthy, or otherwise not in the expected ready state. |
| Kubernetes Services | Shows the distribution of Kubernetes services by service type. Use it to understand how services are exposed within or outside the cluster, such as through ClusterIP services. |
| Containers Status | Shows container status trends over the selected time period, including running, terminated, and waiting containers. Use it to identify container lifecycle changes and periods of instability. |
| Node Issues | Shows node-related issues grouped by node and issue type, such as login failures, startup errors, memory errors, abnormal terminations, and failed actions. Larger tiles indicate issue categories with comparatively more matching events. |
| Volume Claims by Namespace | Shows persistent-volume-claim requested storage by namespace. Use it to identify namespaces with larger storage requests and assess storage allocation across workloads. |
| Warning Events by object | Shows Kubernetes warning events grouped by the affected object. Use it to identify resources that are generating warnings and prioritize investigation of affected workloads or infrastructure objects. |
| Warning Events by Node | Shows Kubernetes warning events grouped by node. Use it to identify nodes associated with recurring warnings and correlate them with node health or workload issues. |
