Access SQL Watch Summary

On obtaining the required permissions and completing the prerequisite tasks, you can use the Database Management SQL Watch Summary page as a launch pad to get started with SQL Watch.

To access the SQL Watch Summary page:

  1. Sign in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
  2. Open the navigation menu, click Observability & Management. Under Database Management, click SQL Watch.
  3. On the left pane, select the compartment that contains the External Databases for which SQL Watch is enabled.

On the Summary page, you can perform the following SQL Watch tasks:

  • Click the Enable link to go to the Administration Managed databases page where you can enable SQL Watch. For information, see Enable SQL Watch.
  • View the total number of External Databases in the compartment and the number of External Databases for which SQL Watch is enabled on the SQL Watch enabled tile.
  • View details of the latest saved SQL Performance Analyzer comparison reports for SQL Watch-enabled databases.
  • View the list of SQL Watch-enabled databases along with information such as the database type, version, and latest saved report. You can click the Actions icon (Actions) for a database and perform the following tasks:
    • View latest report: Click to go to the SQL Performance Analyzer report page and view the latest saved SQL Performance Analyzer comparison report.
    • Manage saved reports: Click to go to the Reports page and view all the saved SQL Performance Analyzer comparison reports for the database.

  • Go to other SQL Watch pages to monitor the database and view SQL Performance Analyzer comparison reports.
