Applying Locks to Private Endpoints

Apply locks to your private endpoints to avoid accidental tampering or deletion of the resources.

Note

You can apply locks only if you're an administrator or a user with Manage permissions.
  1. On the Data Catalog service page, select Private Endpoints. If you need help finding the Private Endpoints page, see Listing Private Endpoints.
  2. On the Private Endpoints page, select the Actions menu (three dots) for the private endpoint for which you want to apply the lock.
  3. Select Apply lock.
  4. In the Manage lock dialog box, select one or both of the following options:
    • Full lock: Select this option to let authorized users only read from the resource.
    • Delete lock: Select this option to let authorized users read and change the resource. However, they can't delete the resource.

If you select both the options, the Full lock option takes precedence.

  5. Select Close.
On the Private Endpoints page, the Lock type column displays the type of lock applied to a private endpoint.
