Enabling Logs from the Logging Service

After applying an Instance Security Recipe to a target, you must enable logging otherwise you won't see any results reported. If you didn't enable logging earlier you can do it from the Logging Console. You can also create query results from the Logging Console.
  1. Open the navigation menu and select Observability & Management. Under Logging, select Logs.
  2. Click Enable service log. The Enable Resource Log panel opens.
  3. If necessary, change the compartment.
  4. Select the service log from the Service list.
    1. For an Instance Security raw log, select Cloud Guard - Raw Logs.
    2. For a scheduled query results log, select Cloud Guard - Query Results.
  5. Select the resource from the list of available resources.
  6. Select the type of log from Log Category:
    1. For raw logs, select Instance Security Raw Logs.
    2. For Query Results, select Instance Security Scheduled Query Logs.
  7. Enter a name for the log.
  8. Click Show Advanced Options and enter the following:
    1. Enter a compartment for the log location, and select a log group or create a new log group.
    2. Set the log retention period.
  9. Click Enable Log.
