Verify APM Browser Agent Deployment

You can verify if the APM browser agent deployment was successful and if data is being uploaded to Application Performance Monitoring.

To ensure that the Collector URL (window.apmrum.ociDataUploadEndpoint) is reachable:

  1. Go to your application.
  2. Use the Developer Tools in your browser to go to the Developer console. In most browsers, you can start the Developer Console by pressing the F12 key.
  3. Select the Network tab.
  4. Filter the URL list by observations/public-span, if required.

The Data Upload Endpoint should be displayed with the 200 or 204 HTTP response code. If you do not see a 200 or 204 HTTP response code, then the browser is not able to access the Collector URL. Verify using APM

If the Data Upload Endpoint URL is accessible, then you can use APM Trace Explorer or Dashboards to verify your environment.

Trace Explorer: Open the navigation menu, click Observability & Management. Under Application Performance Monitoring, click Trace Explorer to verify if the trace data is being uploaded. For information, see Monitor Traces in Trace Explorer.

Dashboards: Open the navigation menu, click Observability & Management. Under Application Performance Monitoring, click Dashboards. From the dashboards list, select Real User Monitoring overview.
