Verify Upgraded Instances

Oracle sends you an email when the upgrade completes. You can also monitor the status of your upgrade in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console. When the upgrade finishes, the status changes from Upgrading to Complete and you see a link to the administration page for your new upgraded instance.

Oracle recommends that you verify your Oracle Analytics Cloud instance on Gen 2 when the upgrade completes and check your content.

  1. In Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console, click Navigation menu in the top left corner.
  2. Click Analytics and AI. Under Analytics, click Analytics Cloud.
  3. Click Other Instances (Gen 1).
  4. Check the Upgrade Status. When the upgrade finishes the status changes from Upgrading to Complete.

Information about your upgraded Oracle Analytics Cloud instance on Gen 2 is displayed. From now on, you use this Instance Details page to administer your upgraded instance.

    1. Check the Compartment. This is the compartment that you specified in the upgrade schedule. If you want to move it to a different compartment at any time, click More Actions, and then Move Resource.
    2. Check that the values for Capacity, Edition, and License Type match your Oracle Analytics Cloud Gen 1 instance.

In the future, you might want to use the Change Capacity menu to scale up or down. You can also switch to a different license type later on using the Edit menu (under More Actions).

You can't change the Edition. This value is fixed.
